September Eleventh, 2001 will be another "Day of Infamy" as then President Roosevelt identified December Seventh, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked.  9/11/01 was the day that terrorism struck America's shores for the first time in recent history. America had been attacked in other ways, with American Embassies blown up; with a United States Warship being attacked. But this was the first time an actual attack was perpetrated on these shores.

By now, each of you reading this article is aware of what happened; there's no reason to reiterate the details. What this page is going to show are some of the off-beat and little known "facts" (including fascinating pictures) of this terrorist attack.

As this is a Christian website, we are going to look at these happenings from a Christian viewpoint. I've heard it said by many that "Islam is a religion of peace".  For the truth behind that claim, see the section "About the Arabs and Islam" and click on the "About Islam" Article. You will find that even according to the Koran, Islam's so-called "holy book", Islam is a religion of violence, hatred, and "Submission", by force if necessary.

Please understand this writer is NOT advocating revenge, hatred or violence against anyone who happens to be of the Muslim faith. Many Muslims are friendly, peace-loving and those in America love this country. But facts are facts. The American public has been  misled as to how many, if not most, Arabs living in the Middle-East and other parts of the world feel about America; and they feel this way mostly because of our stand with Israel.

Another lie we've been told is that "Allah" is the same god of the Bible and the Tanakh that Christians and Jews worship. This also is simply not the fact. Again, see the afore mentioned articles noted above.

But this article is not about Islam per se. It is not about the events taking place in the Middle-East. This article is about what is happening, and what will happen in the days, weeks, months and years to come.

There is a fascinating prophecy found in Zephaniah 1:15-16:

That day is a day of wrath,  a day of trouble and distress,  a day of wasteness and desolation,  a day of darkness and gloominess,  a day of clouds and thick darkness,  A day of the trumpet and alarm ...against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

Is this, if face, a prophecy of the events that took place on September Eleventh? Probably not, but it is interesting. And who knows....maybe it is a "forth-telling" of what happened. Only God knows for sure.

There are those both believers and non-believers who have asked "Why"! Why would God allow such a thing to happen. Isn't this a God-loving Country? Doesn't America have more "Christians" living in her than just about any other nation?

Well, let's see; would this be the same "God" that this country, with her liberal-minded government, made up of Senators and Representatives;  Supreme Court Justices; Governors and Mayors of states and Cities;  and citizens who have broken so many of God's laws by killing millions of un-born human beings through abortion? By making the sin of homosexuality a "normal way of life" for those who choose it? By taking the name of Jesus Christ, prayer, and any mention of the Bible and Creation out of its schools while making it OK to teach witchcraft, other false and Satanic religions. While handing out contraceptives to young girls and boys who, instead of being taught "No Sex" are being taught "Safe sex". Come on people, wake up! God is NOT responsible for these terrorist acts. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson hit the nail on the head when they said that it was basically the sinners of this country that caused this action. Their timing, in my opinion, was a little off. Those were harsh...but true...words they spoke. But maybe a little too soon after the tragic events that took place. People don't want to hear that it could be "their fault".  But let's face it, this country has turned its collective back on God, the Creator. Why? Because Satan has convinced the majority that they don't "need" a Savior;  they don't "need" a God telling them what to do. "Man" is a god", so we should be able to lead our own lives, doing what "is right in our own minds".

As a True, Born-Again Bible Believing Fundamentalist Christian, I too am to blame somewhat. I have a responsibility to "take the Gospel into all nations". To work for the Lord in anyway I can. The many hours I've put into the website is but a small contribution toward that goal. I am an evangelist, but I've yet to speak in many churches. Why? I have contacted some with the offer to come and preach about why we should bless the Jew and Israel; to bring the truth of these matters before their congregation. How many responses have I had.....none!  In all honesty however, I have to admit that my contacts have not been as many as I would have liked. At this writing, I am preparing a demo tape and "brochure" to send out to the churches in my city, Indianapolis.

But this article is not about me, and my work.  This article is about the unthinkable: Terror in America. Why did it happen? What are the deep, root causes of the hatred. As I mentioned earlier, primarily it has to do with our relationship and our aid to Israel. What about this nation of "God's Chosen People"? That "title" leaves a bad taste in most Muslim's (and even many Christian's) mouths. "God's CHOSEN"? Why, the absurdity of it!  But let's study this a bit.

Possibly, if it were not for Hitler's persecution and attempted elimination of the world's Jews, Israel may not have become a nation. Had not the Holocaust taken place, they may still have been dispersed among the world's nations. It could be said that the "Holocaust" that took place on 9-11-01 in New York and Washington was God's "wake-up call"  for America. A call "to arms", as well as a call for a renewal of our heritage, values, and especially , our priorities. It was a beautiful sight to see members of Congress, reporters and others, standing on the Statehouse steps shortly after the attack, singing "God Bless America". This writer never would have thought such an action would be possible or permitted, seeing as how that was a violation of "Church and State".  It is sad however, that the ACLU and other factions have back-pedaled and caused alarm by some of their actions. Removing American Flags from the fire trucks in Berkeley so as to not "upset" someone of another nationality is an example. There are many more.

It has been said, even by our President, that we "are not at war with Islam or the Muslims. At first I got a little angry when I heard that said. But then I realized, what else could he say? When I heard our president, who by the way IS a Born-again Christian who makes no apologies for his beliefs, state that "Islam is a religion of peace"; or "Allah is the same god of the Bible", this too upset me. But again, what else can he say. If it were known by most the truth about Islam and the doctrines it teaches, there would be an uprising.

We are, indeed, at war. We are engaged in Islam's "Jihad in America." Most Americans - and even most
Christians - have no real awareness of the nature of Islam: its origin, its agenda, and its methods. We each must understand the realities and not be blinded by all the propaganda errant news stories coming out of the media.

There is, of course, a concerted effort to avoid offending the "moderate" Muslims throughout the world who are peace-loving and not characterized by the "extremists" or "fundamentalists." But we also need to recognize
the root teachings of the Koran, and the call to violence that has been spread throughout the world:

Following are a few quotes from the Koran. Again, for a deeper study of the Islam faith and beliefs, see the link mentioned above. ( "Sura" is simply a word for what we would call "chapter").

Fight and slay the pagans (infidels) wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war.  Quran, Sura 9:5

Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites, and deal rigorously with them. Al Tawbah (The Repentance) Sura 9:73

Let not the unbelievers think they will ever get away. They have not the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your command, so that you may strike terror into the enemy of God and your enemy... Prophet,
(Muhammad) rouse the faithful to arms! If they (the non-Muslims) incline to peace (accept Islam) make peace with them.  Al Anfal (The Spoils) Sura 8:59

If they reject your judgment, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them for
their sins. Al Maidah (The Table) Sura 5:49

Believers (Muslims), take neither Jews nor Christians to be your friends: they are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number, and God does not guide (those Jewish and
Christian) wrong-doers. Al Maidah (The Table) Sura 5:51-5:74

One shocking aspect of the true feelings of the Muslim and Palestinian people, were the pictures of the celebrations, dancing in the streets, and shooting of rifles after the attack.  We saw an unveiling of their real hearts that even their leaders were unable to mask hide, even though they tried.  (Click here to view Pictures)

But we must realize our  real warfare is not against flesh and blood but against the old Dragon, The Devil. Satan is control of the world's nations and governments, even our own. We need to look 'behind the scenes" so to speak to understand the "legacy of hate" that now has reached out shores. Let's look at it from a Biblical view.

In reality, this is, in fact, a "religious" war, no matter what the media may have us believe. It is in fact, an open, bloody, conflict over a piece of  real
estate.
Every nation except Israel is in existence as a result of conquest. Only one nation - Israel - is existing as a direct result of a "land grant" from God Himself.

It is the Arab's  challenge to that land grant-and Israel's right to occupy that land-that is at the root of the current conflict that caused the terrorist's actions that caused the  murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children. And this is just the tip of the iceberg...there will be more!

The land involved belongs to Israel, and then, only as long as God permits her to claim it. The majority of Jews in Israel are NOT religious. They do not give God much credit for the existence; their prowess at winning wars that were won miraculously at that. The land involved does not belong to the PLO; nor does not belong to the UN. This particular
real estate is the specific subject of a most sacred oath delivered by God Himself!  We find this covenant between God and Abraham in Genesis 15:18:

" In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:"

This land grant is the root issue behind the terrorism against Israel and against America as its friend and ally. Reducing the borders of Israel will not solve the problem. It is not the size of Israel that is the issue; it is the presence of Israel that is the issue.

Islam regards Israel as simply a puppet of the United States. They believe that they can destroy the puppet master to destroy the puppet. But make no mistake: Islam is not simply anti-Jewish: it is also anti-Christian.

There's a little song that the  children sing:  "Today Friday; tomorrow Saturday; then Sunday." (Friday is the Islamic holy day; Saturday, the Jewish Shabbat; and Sunday, the Christian's day of worship.) That's their agenda. And it is
engraved  into the children minds at the earliest opportunities. School books in Palestine and other Arab nations teach hatred and bigotry to the Jews. Even Middle-east maps refuse to show the name of the State of Israel, they substitute "Palestine".

It is imperative for every Christian to really understand the realities behind Islam. We are not going into detail in this article. This has already been covered in "About Islam" as mentioned.

We  need to recognize that the 21st century is destined to be dramatically different than anything of the past. The events of September 11th are just a beginning. And the threats will not be limited to the logistics of airline high-jacking.

The next challenge to our national way of life is likely to come from biochemical weapons. These emergent technologies are a terrorist's dream: They are inexpensive, they are easily delivered to metropolitan environments, and they are virtually impossible to satisfactorily guard against. At the time of this writing, there have been a number of cases of Anthrax being used to infect many persons. It has hit both the House and Senate buildings. At this writing, (October 2001).at least one person has died in Florida.

And there have also been reports that Osama bin Laden, the person now known to have been behind the attacks-and other radical Islamic groups-may now have possession of nuclear devices. Informed experts are anticipating nuclear possibilities as well.

The 20th century was the bloodiest century in human history, and the coming decade clearly is not going to be characterized by "peace and safety." Furthermore, serious  measures which are going into effect for security requirements will seriously infringe and curtail the freedoms that we all have taken so for granted.

The good news is that people are now more open and inquiring as never before. It is not "business as usual." Everyone's priorities are being drastically reexamined and revised. People are desperately seeking
answers to fundamental questions. The opportunities to be a witness for Christ-and to provide a Biblical perspective on what's happening-is unprecedented in our lifetime!

But we need to be prepared. We need to do our homework. Hosea stated that " My (God's)  people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me...( Hosea 4:6)

The Armor of God

We are, indeed, at war, and Ephesians Chapter 6 relates our arms inventory. We are  commanded to "put on the whole armor of God." We need to know what these seven elements consist of and how to put them on daily. We must put on the whole armor-not just our favorite pieces! It is time to know what you believe and why you believe it.

We must  continue to energize  our heavy artillery: prayer. Let us pray for the families affected; for our leadership, for discernment in their decisions and resolve in their commitments; for ministries, to repair misconceptions and to
be ever more responsive to the opportunities; and, let us pray for Israel and Jerusalem. This is a commandment by Almighty God Himself.
